Does Trump strengthen Sheinbaum within Morena?

Does Trump strengthen Sheinbaum within Morena?

Diego Martín Velázquez Caballero

It doesn't seem that way; on the contrary. Although appearances suggest that President Claudia Sheinbaum has been strengthened by the ninety days of grace granted by Donald Trump, in reality, she faces a significant challenge in her relationship with the governors and internal groups within Morena. Despite her strengthened position, these actors are likely to continue to ignore her due to a pact of impunity and corruption in Mexico, where simulation has become institutionalized.

The trans-sexennial influence of López Obrador's administration and the notable absence of Claudia Sheinbaum indicate that power dynamics in Mexico are dominated by the "caciquil federalism" of local and de facto powers (Andrew Paxman). Governors have a considerable degree of autonomy and can resist or pretend to obey the directives of central power. The Morena governors and cliques play a game of "a thousand masks" with Donald Trump and the United States. Sheinbaum and the Morena governors interact in a game of mixed signals.

The relationship between Sheinbaum and the Morena power groups represents a scenario of "silent disobedience." The governors publicly abide by Sheinbaum's directives, but in practice, they continue their traditional governing practices. They act pragmatically based on their own interests and power groups, using the Morena party as a front for their agendas. Corruption is a reward system that allows elites to maintain the loyalty of their groups. The factions compete, but they do so within a framework of corruption that benefits all. Corruption is not seen as a weakness to be eradicated, but as a tool for governability and personal enrichment.

The president uses financial resources to obtain the loyalty and support of the governors. In return, the governors pretend to abide by federal directives. However, the economic crisis and rampant corruption reveal the message that has prevailed since Vicente Fox's presidency: it is necessary to unite the years of Hidalgo and Carranza. Political cliques in Mexico have turned political defection into religious fundamentalism because it is necessary to abandon ship without warning.

Mexican presidentialism cannot be reconstituted without the formal support of the United States, as in 1924, 1929, 1945, 1988, and 1994. The United States must take charge of its own backyard and abandon the idea of corrupt homeostasis. Federalism has turned Mexico into a failed state that will soon infect the United States and that, whether Donald Trump likes it or not, will have to subsidize with greater resources later; better to pay now than double or triple later; even the American public will have to consider Friedman's exponential 2080 in those payments.

North America should have understood that Mexico is its historical stepson, its disobedient son; But if he doesn't control it now, like Nero's mother and guardians, he will end up consumed by his irresponsible actions.

Zedillo: The Technicians and Specialists Speak Out

Zedillo: The Technicians and Specialists Speak Out

Diego Martín Velázquez Caballero

According to Miguel Basáñez, the public sector in our country is made up of three significant groups: politicians, technicians, and specialists. Recently, given the decomposition of the Mexican State and the threats of invasion from the Yankees, it can be said—with complete certainty—that we have an unhealthy political class. The generation of Juárez liberals faced foreign invasion due to insufficient payments on the foreign debt and geopolitical reasons; now, Mexico is on the verge of being taken over by corrupt, corrupt, and criminal thugs. One reason for the current state of affairs is that the technical and specialized sectors of the government have been tied up, blocked, and silenced in the name of absolute loyalty to abject ignorance.

Political hegemocracy, as Basáñez defines it, did not begin entirely with Morena. The balance of power has benefited politicians since the Vicente Fox administration and has reached total dominance during the Fourth Transformation. Lopez Obrador's administration pledged to rebuild the Mexican state through one of the most effective expert sectors: the Army; but something went wrong along the way. The traditional patrimonialism and pragmatism of Mexican job creation prevailed in the political landscape. The macro-networks of bosses, corporatism, and clientelism boosted Morena's electoral strength, and now there's no turning back. Paying bills and political favors blocks economic growth and development.

Zedillo has raised the debate on the country's economic projects in the public sphere. Even from an extreme Machiavellian position, the results are what they are, and the reality facing the Sheinbaum administration and the progressive populist national revolutionary project cannot be called a success. If Zedillo were wrong in his remarks, Claudia Sheinbaum's letter to Morena would not have been sent, much less would it have triggered the moral code for the Morena politician. Why insist on the good conduct of the Morena politician if the 4T is pure, untainted, and God-fearing? The dominance of Morena politicians is affecting the Mexican state, as many make immorality their main virtue; especially the defectors, whose political entrepreneurship becomes savage, barbaric, and overwhelming.

Beyond neoliberalism, technical skills and specialists must balance willful and pragmatic political action. Mexican empiricism has brought us to the brink of chaos, and it is necessary to recognize that technology has no ideology nor does it belong to the domain of a class or caste. Mexico's capacity to govern is on the brink of ineffectiveness. The government must engage the appropriate technicians and specialists to restore the lost consistency between the formulation and results of public policies.

Sheinbaum and the Mickey Mouse Ears

Sheinbaum and the Mickey Mouse Ears

Diego Martín Velázquez Caballero

Perhaps it is due to the pressure exerted by the United States, given the risk of an economic crisis of historic proportions due to exclusion from the North American dynamic. However, President Claudia Sheinbaum is beginning to establish a decision-making process that distances herself from her predecessor. It is true that Yankee demands regarding national security may violate the powers that be in Mexico; however, the trade balance weighs more heavily, and above all, interaction with the United States. Therefore, the Mexican government must abide by Donald Trump's dictates.

The idea of North America, as Robert Pastor and Alain Rouquie pointed out, is a fatal destiny for Mexico. It is impossible to pursue a radical separation after long decades in which government and society in our country conceded productive structures, markets, and labor. It is complicated to reverse the processes of an integration that, due to its influence, is more than a constant; the Mexican-American relationship is an everyday phenomenon.

Mexico's relationship with the United States is more than a symbiosis. Sheinbaum's government has discovered that it is impossible to begin building an internal market and national industrialization under the current circumstances. The most important thing now is to maintain the relationship with North America and develop the order required by Yankee imperialism.

Sheinbaum is beginning to see support from the PRI (Private Institutional Revolutionary Party), the United States, business groups, and the Armed Forces, in addition to numerous Morena-led tendencies. The PRIMOR (National Revolutionary Party) brings Sheinbaum closer to the governability implemented by Enrique Peña Nieto. Hopefully, she will gain control of local powers to prevent a moral crisis that would encourage a highly competitive succession.

State governments and authoritarian enclaves have failed to understand the importance of the United States' formal and informal economy for Mexico. Little by little, the establishment of a collaborative game between Sheinbaum and Trump succeeds in safeguarding the second level of the fourth transformation in the techno-feudal process that the globalist US oligarchy is developing as an empire.

The contradictory governance that the Mexican political system develops through its intermediaries leaves no one satisfied; it always has been that way. It is impossible for the party in power to satisfy the needs of its electorate without considering the interests of the North American economic, political, and social power circles. AMLO survived in his own way, and Sheinbaum is beginning to build her own naval route. Hopefully, she will have enough time and the winds will favor her for the good of the republic.

Traian Romanescu and the fight for the presidency of Mexico in 2024

Traian Romanescu and the fight for the presidency of Mexico in 2024

Diego Martín Velázquez Caballero

The PRIANRD's literary attacks on Claudia Sheinbaum, as well as the ideological confrontation against Israel, take on the aspects of the oldest hatred in the world; especially because it is based on the usual fallacies and selfishness.

During the second month of the campaign, after the initial attacks did not work, accusations began to emerge regarding the links between international communist networks and Sheinbaum Pardo's family circle, in another stage of the dirty war.

The accusations are ridiculous.

Some expressions are stated as journalistic, but, in truth, they take up the ideas of Salvador Borrego and Traian Romanescu.

The search in Claudia Sheinbaum's family past is more like a Traian Romanescu narrative, the idea of tracing from Bulgaria, Lithuania, the USSR, Cuba and finally Panama, marks the history of an international communist membership that conspires in different regions .

It could not be like that, considering that communist groups had that level of activism without the intervention of the United States or the strength of the TECOS group - one of the main bastions of phil-Nazi anti-communism - in Guadalajara, allows us to understand the stupid attempt at banned biographies on Sheinbaum as essays of historiographical perversion.

If Claudia Sheinbaum Pardo's family circle had had the militant background that the pamphlet biographies claim, these characters would have ended up like the victims of the Dirty War that the DFS and the United States carried out in Latin America.

It is more interesting to investigate the present of Sheinbaum's links with the current candidates, there are characters in the PRIANRD and Morena who seek elective representation, but they are highly questionable, more so than the communists from Eastern Europe.

There are real criminals as candidates who, more than the USSR and the Cuban communists, must ask the CIA and the DEA the reasons why they let them compete if, in truth, the United States - a living superpower - is concerned about the narcostate.

In short, reading Traian Romanescu should be put aside. The creativity of the team that seeks to promote Xóchitl Gálvez should be limited to the present.

Indeed, it is essential to know the influence that the Head of Government had, since the time of Cuauhtémoc Cárdenas, on the decomposition and factionalism of the Mexican left, particularly that focused on Mexico City.

Generating communist Masonic Jewish conspiracism around the figure of Claudia Sheinbaum is something that the Mexican right and left should put aside.

If Mexican politics appears backward due to the caciquil nexus that most of the groups make, assuming Montuno anti-communism ends in the greatest ridicule and one of the most serious errors of the PRIANRD.

It is true that our country has enormous historical gaps in the indigenous racial issue, but it is also true that, for a long time, Ibero-America has been multiracial and multiethnic.

Mexicanness has been nourished by many positive aspects from abroad.

Hence, the Mongolian plot that they are trying to impose on Claudia Sheinbaum has been misleading.

Likewise, the Mexican left reacts equivocally to the Arab-Israeli conflict.

There is an incomprehensible Judeophobia animated by a fanaticism regarding terrorist Muslim fundamentalism.

It is incomprehensible the attacks of the progressive journalistic media towards Israel and, at the same time, the advertising empowerment that they seek to give Claudia Sheinbaum.

They seem like two different things, but, in the end, the issue ends up being linked in Judeophobia.

Morena's presidential candidate has not denied her ties of descent with the nation of Abraham. How could the Arab-Israeli issue stop being linked to Sheinbaum? Judeophobia in Mexico has a double standard, right and left must learn to ward off this terrible virus that invades and corrupts in a serious way.

Debates work

 Debates work

Diego Martín Velázquez Caballero

This reflection takes place a few hours after the first presidential debate between Claudia Sheinbaum and Xóchitl Gálvez. Regardless of the result, as a precedent to said civic exercise, the aim has been to develop a climate of opinion unfavorable to face-to-face contact between the contenders for the presidency of the republic. It is true that there has been an extensive atmosphere of politicization throughout the six-year term and with political campaigns so advanced that the partisan electoral process causes boredom; However, admitting that the political struggle is defined and that the elections are not competitive shows that indifference and a complacent authoritarian political culture are beginning to consolidate.

There is a global crisis of capitalist liberal democracy; But, at times, it seems that in Mexico it is total and that constitutes a high risk because it generates uncertainty about the regime to come. If politics in Mexico has been canceled, why don't we leave it to artificial intelligence? It has already been said that the best thing for Mexico is for gringos to govern it, but what if it is left to AI?

The agora and debate are inherent to politics. When the possibilities that may emerge from public dialogue between candidates are undermined, politics is nullified. The debates, amplified by different media, could be the only possibility for people to be able to see a more critical and aware image of the candidates about the work carried out by neuromarketing. Individuals could even change the direction of their electoral preference.

Although electoral reform in the INE is important, the basic elements of civilized political competition cannot be ignored in such a negative way.

The ruling party should be attentive to the consequences of political exclusion and undemocratic attitudes. What are the proposals for political reeducation of progressivism to avoid falling into the authoritarian attitudes of conservative thought? If there is no debate, there is no freedom of expression.

The participatory schemes of democratic liberalism must be maintained so that individuals make their contribution to the political system. The debates are important because they are outside the trappings of the rally and the campaign teams. In the debate, the candidates have to show their political leadership nakedly and convey the idea of their ability to mobilize the entire apparatus of political power, to inspire a country.

Debates should not be discouraged; On the contrary, their promotion and attention constitutes the minimum morality of elites and citizens.

I hope that the debate has allowed the growth of the presidential proposals and that the social sectors attentive to this exchange of ideas and criticism, take the necessary information for their electoral participation.

Isn't that Claudia? Is it Augustus?

Isn't that Claudia? Is it Augustus?

Diego Martin Velazquez Caballero

Since 1994, the President of the Republic is subject to clear rules on succession within his political institute, that is, the designation of the candidate who intends to extend the domain of a partisan administration; However, one of the most current myths in our country is Tapadism, that is, the idea that the President chooses a successor in the candidate of his organization: the successor, who prepares with great care, and who occupies the thought of the commentators, who describe it in a generic way due to its invisibility. This political game complicates matters and is a sign of what it takes to have a civic political culture.

Once the alternation arrived in Mexico, the practice of tapadism has also been a temptation for the PAN and now for Morena. For this party, the hope of imposing the successor, or successor, seems to falter before the wear and tear of the internal struggle, which is beginning to be perceived in the government results and its corruption with political clientelism.

For some groups, the failure of Claudia Sheinbaum's candidacy and the spectacular appearance of Adán Augusto López, a native of Tabasco, like the President, and member of a family linked to power, is more than evident. The head of government and her presidential aspirations, on her part, begin to diminish thanks to her erratic administration as head of government of CDMX and the lack of political independence in the face of opposition media attacks.

Adán Augusto, like other secretaries of the interior who have reached the country's first magistracy, has begun to govern early, with the permission of the executive, in many matters and with little criticism to his credit, except for the repeated provocations of a brother of the President, who insists on supporting Sheinbaum.

An authoritarian culture tends to pay tribute to strong leaders who achieve their objectives even if they are wrong, acting promptly by defining specific objectives. This is how the behavior of the government secretary is understood, who well understands the role of being the subject closest to AMLO.

The President will have no other option than to allow the person who has developed the governance mechanisms to pass. But this behavior has not always been a reflection of the ideas of the Fourth Transformation, from which Adán Augusto López seems to be further removed than Marcelo Ebrard and, perhaps for this reason, the Secretary of the Interior captivates and cultivates the affections of AMLO's opponents. . In any case, Adán Augusto will be the most practical candidate and at times the most rational of the prospects despite his progressivism.
