Cadets Always Have a Sad Heart

Cadets Always Have a Sad Heart

Diego Martín Velázquez Caballero

A new logic is taking hold in the complex relationship between Mexico and the United States, one that seems to be confirmed by the handover of drug lords to Washington. Far from being an act of mere cooperation, this dynamic confirms that President Sheinbaum's administration is complying with US demands to avoid a greater threat. Donald Trump, with his rhetoric and actions, not only seeks to solve the immediate problem of drug trafficking, but, in a masterstroke, attempts to dismantle the future scenario that George Friedman proposes for the year 2080, in which the demographic and political power of the Mexican-American community in the United States defeats the US federal government.

Emilio Lezama's (El Universal) analysis of Trump's possible military intervention, which focuses on dismantling the drug trafficking structure, is the prelude to Trump's deeper strategy. However, Friedman's vision goes beyond military conflict. Friedman suggests that the United States' defeat will not come on the battlefield, but rather from its own inability to integrate the growing population of Mexican origin, which will consolidate and align itself with Mexican interests, rendering future military intervention unworkable. For Trump, this demographic and social threat is the real enemy. Therefore, his interventionist strategy in Mexico seeks to separate the actors. His goal is to segment the Mexican population into two groups: criminals, whom he is fighting, and "good" citizens. By directing military operations and unilateral interventions outside of US states with large Mexican-American populations, Trump avoids the polarization of a demographic base that could turn against him, as happened in Los Angeles, California. His message is clear: the fight is against drug trafficking and corruption in Mexico, not against Hispanics who live and work legally in the United States.

On this playing field, the Mexican Army and Navy have adopted a stance of pragmatic cooperation, an act reminiscent of the diplomacy of the Carrancistas in 1914-1916 and the Sonora Group in 1920-1929. In those years, figures such as Venustiano Carranza, Álvaro Obregón, and Plutarco Elías Calles understood that US recognition and support were vital to consolidating their power and stabilizing the country. The current cooperation, although painful for national sovereignty, is a similar calculation. The Morena government knows it lacks an institutionalized party, an effective social movement, or the military power to confront a direct intervention by the Yankee Empire, and any resistance would lead to an asymmetric conflict with high costs for the civilian population.

In this context, the corruption of the Mexican political class, including members of Morena, serves as an additional justification for US interventionism. While Morena politicians don't behave like the allies of Porfirio Díaz or Victoriano Huerta, who fled the country to Alfonso XIII after being defeated in a civil war, their pragmatism resembles them and could open the door to a new modus vivendi. The opposition, far from being a counterweight, could take advantage of this fragile situation to infiltrate the government in the near future, creating a de facto system in which power is shared or negotiated under Washington's conditions.

This situation leaves Mexico in a dilemma where peace is bought at the cost of sovereignty and autonomy. In this scenario, President Sheinbaum and the armed forces are playing a game in which the only possible victory is to avoid all-out war.

Is the Mexican monsoon the tears of cadets Manuel Azueta, Juan de la Barrera, Juan Escutia, Francisco Márquez, Agustín Melgar, Fernando Montes de Oca, and Vicente Suárez? Mexican youth should not seek solace in the ghosts of a broken sovereignty, but in the recognition of a geopolitical reality. The time of sacrifices on the altar of the nation is over (Regina). The blood spilled at Chapultepec and Veracruz is not the end point, but the beginning of a history that now demands to be rewritten. There is no honor in defending the ruins of a lying and traitorous political class, Santanistas who sell the homeland in installments while paying homage to the ghost of an empty nationalism, as Sergio Aguayo says in the Pantheon of Myths and Alejandro Filio poetically expresses in that verse of disillusionment: The patio, the great ceremony, the homeland the tricolor light, then the betrayal of he who steals, dishonors and sells us our rights and our voice. The pain of deception must make the adolescent republic mature; Mexicans must stop seeing the United States as an invader and begin to understand it as a destiny: 50 million Mexicans can't be wrong!

Tricky Old Trumpy Trump

Tricky Old Trumpy Trump

Diego Martín Velázquez Caballero

Although many analysts and scholars revel in the terror caused by the future president of the United States, there are also those who assume that the threats of the New York businessman are simply threats and blackmail to induce the collaboration of the Mexican government.

In any case, the relationship with the northern neighbor represents an enormous commitment for the Mexican government, which also faces constant evaluation by its detractors.

In retrospect, and observing Donald Trump's experience at the head of the White House between 2017 and 2021, it is evident that he did not even manage to carry out half of the threats he made against Mexicans in a situation of illegal immigration; mainly in relation to the border wall and mass deportations.

On the other hand, although drug trafficking is one of the most serious problems in Mexico, its magnitude is different in the United States.

For the United States, this only represents a public health problem that –in reality- is of little interest to them, since there are no policies that try to effectively regulate the issue of addictions; it can even be said that drug addiction is part of the natural selection that savage American liberalism implies.

Under these conditions and considering the health results of the first Trumpist government, it is expected that there will be little progress.

In reality, Donald Trump intends for the Mexican government to be in charge of the fight against the cartels, without that meaning the reduction of commitments to the Pentagon, which are fundamental for the economy of the empire.

Just as occurred in the issue of border surveillance and the protection of migrants, the cost of the fight against drug trafficking will be borne by the Mexican economy and also the deaths that result.

President Sheinbaum has pointed out the injustice of this forced collaboration, while her cabinet is incredulous in the face of the threats; However, Mexico is obliged to comply with the United States more than Donald Trump himself.

The situation perhaps represents an optimal collaborative understanding where the economy of our country is overcome thanks to the balances of the empire, the underemployment that the US government creates in the Mexican government allows membership in the USMCA and the maintenance of remittances; Democrats or Republicans do not change outsourcing to Mexico.

Amlo: The Next Santa Anna?

 Amlo: The Next Santa Anna?

Diego Martín Velázquez Caballero

Compared to the United States, most Mexican presidents have been surrenderists. It could not be otherwise, nuclear diplomacy and internal factionalism establish a scenario where tribal survival is the highest priority. As a tributary state of North America, Mexico must pay its quota or floor right and sacrifice what is necessary. Each Mexican president establishes a governance agreement where he accepts the balance between American demands and the internal demands of interest groups. Some Heads of State in the country have preferred to hand over remote control to the United States, others try to do a little with the little power that the Yankee empire allows. The idea of the powerful president who can do almost anything is just a myth given the Mexican neighborhood.

According to the perspective generated by Fernando Escalante Gonzalbo and Roger Bartra, the post-pandemic and economic recovery processes are generating severe crisis scenarios for North America where emigration, organized crime and social problems make the insecurity of the United States polysemic and only the invasion remains. to Mexico to inhibit the gigantic accumulation of immigration from Latin America and particularly from our country. According to the rhetoric of the Republican Party - and the Mexican red circle - the issue of emigration and social conflicts in Latin America attack the neighborhood with the United States, mass emigrations seem to be proposing a replacement of the Anglo-Saxon population. Where is Mexican and Latin American emigration headed? To take North America. And the externalities that this situation causes can cause the disintegration of the American Union. The idea of open doors that American society had had to emigration seems to be running out in the event that electoral support is directed to Donald Trump. For this reason, an invasion of Mexico is taking shape and, apparently, the government of the Fourth Transformation seems to be identifying with this situation because it is incompetent to remedy the problem.

The scenario of the War against Drug Trafficking deeply weakens the Mexican State and its Army. The blurring of national sovereignty in the face of organized crime leaves the free will of the United States to establish a cordon sanitaire to protect them. And, according to the rhetoric of American Republicans, the decision – although reckless – will not take long to be carried out.

From this point of view, the development that López Obrador is proposing in the South of Mexico has no other objective than to hand over the North of the country to the United States. The national security crisis that Mexico has in the face of drug trafficking determines that the United States takes control of the civilizational limits that José Vasconcelos proposed for the Mexican Republic. The territorial points that are contemplated to be co-opted by North America are strategic for the Maquiladora Industry, Assembly Plants and Development Zones where immigration can be stopped and the fight against drug trafficking can operate. The Mexican south is changing in its infrastructure and metropolitan area; But, now, the evils that influenced Mexican misgovernance are also migrating to this region, particularly drug trafficking, as well as the patrimonial bureaucracy and neo-extractivism that represents capitalism by distinctive dispossession of the Latin American oligarchies. Chiapas is a serious example, although other entities such as Puebla are not far behind.

Apparently, as in 1847, the president of Mexico has been a collaborator of the geopolitical strategy of the American Union. General Santa Anna shared significant information regarding access routes for the invasion, collateral damage, weak points, fortifications to take and all the information necessary so that, in a short period, the Americans could settle in the republic for almost a year. Even Santa Anna carried out a purchase and sale transaction. It should be noted that the Catholic Church also proposed the annexation of Mexico to the Yankee Empire.

For the red circle that seeks to deepen North American intervention, Mexico will be split if the Fourth Transformation continues for more than two periods. Nearshoring and the uncontrolled dynamics that the interaction between Mexico and North America has taken will lead to the North and West of our country being grafted to the American Union; However, in 2024 the vote for Morena was the majority in most of the northern states.

The perceived threat of Mexican ungovernability calls for AMLO to collaborate with the United States to avoid major problems. The United States manifests the true dynamic of protectionism towards Mexico, but the limits have reached the extreme.

The Pact for Mexico, one more Santanista act, ended up developing the harmful effects of neoliberalism, nor was the country modernized and the policies to close the economic and social gap were not implemented. Now, everything has become complicated. Drug trafficking is the most radical, savage and totalitarian de facto power; Mexico can no longer face it without dragging the United States into disaster.

North America faces the scenario of managing the situation of its imperial decline and economic crisis in the best possible way. She needs Mexican slavery and has the capacity to militarize the territories that her industry requires more than effectively. The border states in northern Mexico have left their nationalism as an increasingly distant echo; the economic and social reality represents a de facto integration.

Mexican nationalism is dependent on the United States, therefore, the degree of colonialism is not only reflected in the historical flirtation of the elites but also of society. Mexican emigration to the American Union has been more than a diaspora in the second half of the 20th century; However, even with a population greater than a whopping 50 million compatriots in Anglo-Saxon land, Mexico could not take over the United States; the opposite is logical. The Mexican economic dependence on North America signed since the Treaties of Guadalupe Hidalgo and reaffirmed with the Treaties of Bucareli, NAFTA and TMEC, which imply not opposing any resistance to North American interventionism.

The economic policies of the fourth transformation do not make progress in closing the difference between Mexico and the United States. The Huntington and Fukuyama gap extends, like the McLane-Ocampo Treaties, to the City of Palaces.

The invasion of the narcorepública by the narco empire

The invasion of the narcorepública by the narco empire

Diego Martin Velazquez Caballero

The alleged US invasion of Mexico is a more than urgent need. The point is that the war must begin in the south of the American Union, particularly in states like Texas, Florida, Arizona or California.

Although the levels of violence have increased notably in the country, the case of Genaro García Luna illustrates that the bosses of the mafia and the real bosses of the cartels have established their centers of financing and economic power in North America, taking with them a large number of people, workers and hit men. Returning to George Friedman, Mexican drug companies have moved to North America, perhaps to conquer from there their share of the US market or to integrate with their Yankee partners.

The crisis of neoliberalism led to the fact that for a long time the caciques, cartel leaders, hitmen, accountants, traffickers and, in general, powerful men and women in drug trafficking structures, live comfortably in the southern United States, camouflaged as decent people and businessmen, they live in the neighborhoods, traffic lights, churches and prestigious restaurants with the bulk of the WASP population. The washing machines are, like García Luna's industries, on that side. It is necessary for the United States to throw all its weapons -including nuclear weapons- and have the greatest number of military troops available against the drug trafficking groups, but it is important to consider that these groups have moved to North America and from there they fluently manage the various businesses that strengthen their economic power and control structures over Mexico.

The conviction of the United States to seize Mexico is historic, it is not surprising because that is how it stole Texas and Northern Mexico, with strategies and forms full of abuse and cruelty. From a distance, nothing can oppose the purpose of the Yankee Empire now, since the condition of a Failed State that leaks everywhere is the main characteristic of a Mexicanness that, it is important to repeat, has its main mafia solidarity system in the south of USA.

The resources available to Mexico to defend itself count for nothing. Instead, the country must be cautious and allow the United States to intervene to subdue dissident groups in various regions. Northern Mexico no longer has any condition of governability and in several municipalities the power of organized crime is reflected in the families that have historically dominated their regions. The north of Mexico, which is the south of the United States, does not distinguish between Texas and Tamaulipas, for example, the attacks, settling of scores, levels of extreme violence, etc.; They are common.

Capitalism due to underdevelopment stimulates violence and informality, there are not always opportunities for North America to try to contribute to the formal governance of the country. Hence, the initiative of the American Republicans must be taken with courage and expect the strict attention of their armed forces. Hopefully they are more capable than General John Pershing, because we already know how punitive expeditions end. If the United States comes to liberate the regions controlled by drug traffickers and caciques, they are welcome; However, if they are only going to select new mercenaries, then drugs will continue to poison the youth of the United States, and the appearance of Mexamerica that will wipe out Mexico and the United States will be a reality in order to have full autonomy and the right of force to poison everyone. the world.

Andreas Schedler, the party of "perrones" and the electoral gutierritos

Andreas Schedler, the party of "perrones" and the electoral gutierritos

By Diego Martín Velázquez Caballero

José Antonio Meade Kuribreña is asking for US intervention in Mexico to safeguard the discouraged national bourgeoisie and not break with dependence on US imperialism. Only in this way can the Internal Security Law be understood as well as the lack of recognition of the reality that our country is experiencing. A character like Andreas Schedler (In the fog of war, 2015) is surprised by the cynicism and denial that is made of a context like the Mexican. The academic is one of the most important figures of national political science; However, the most important thing has been its evolution from the defenseless electoral analysis to the study and understanding of the phenomenon that distinguishes this cute and bandit Mexico: violence. Our country is experiencing a war of low intensity, at the level of the Middle East, that few have wanted to see and, even less, try to do something to organize -only- the issue. Schedler's ideas disagree with those political scientists and social scientists who are blinded by internal colonialism. For this caste of organic intellectuals, the country is at peace and considers Meade Kuribreña as the most exemplary citizen that the PRI could achieve. The situation is serious to be disguised in this way. The Mexican academy not only borders on irresponsibility and inefficiency; He has also been infected with the Lucifer syndrome characteristic of the national oligarchy. They accuse animosity when they are referred to the most obvious data; But, the situation is beyond the borderline between the social groups that make up our social structure. There is no longer space to support the slaughterhouse that Mexico became. Do not they smell the stench of flesh and blood?

Historical manipulation and denial are everyday factors in the perspective of hegemonic thinking. It has gone from golden history to history in pink. The Mexican Revolution, the PRI, Díaz Ordaz and Echeverría never existed for the fascist intellectual  -like Francisco Franco in the Spanish television sausages-. The oligarchy and its electoral gutterritos tell the myth of a democratic transition princess whose velvet reaches the limits of the universe and its blue prince overflows charisma, leadership and kindness as Maciel of the Legionaries of Christ. Studies like those of Andreas Schedler inform us that, the fantastic thing really, was the beautiful trajectory of the transition; there was never "alternation" or "political change" but a "modus vivendi" between the bishops of the Revolutionary Family and the bishops of the Holy See to coexist the Mexican government.
Now that López Obrador proposes a pact with the drug trafficking groups to establish peace in Mexico, the electoral and technocratic packs have been released to question the idea. Have you forgotten the proposal to legalize the transfer and consumption of drugs that in the past was observed as a logical way to reduce the social bitterness of the nation? Even Vicente Fox agreed with the need to regularize the psychotropic business as it is done in some states of the American Union. Where was the fixation in the model of the Netherlands to make Mexico a simile of European harmonic consumption?

Those who accuse of extravagant - to say the least - Peje's proposal, are the same ones who make millions of dollars in their television networks promoting series and characters that constitute, yes, monuments to the culture of crime and impunity. They oppose the legalization of drugs, the regularization of arms, the construction of peace, then, what do they want? Surely they propose the Kirrarcado Mirrey that they have learned in the Creole homeland. They have become immensely rich building a Narco-State. Is not it still enough?

The PRI candidate for the presidency of Mexico, seeks to open the doors to US military intervention justifying the force of narcoterrorism as an obstacle to governance. The oligarchy supports this issue because it seeks to emulate Panama, Colombia, Honduras or Guatemala; where Creole strains have managed to preserve their privileges by taking care of the business of the empire. The powers that be do not assume their responsibility in front of the monster they have created. They do not want to govern; but they want to remain in government to safeguard their lineages, interests and corruption.
The electoral gutterritos that praise, of course, to the priandist Meade; They are first-line liars and dishonest. If their electoral indices have not shown them that now PRI govern us all political parties, that everyone surrenders to presidential honey trying to be the most servile; So, why do you think we should believe them now? The legalization of drugs, their economic regularization and pacification with regional cartels, is the most civilized measure to give the government leeway in many entities and municipalities of the country. Was the bloodbath that Felipe Calderón Hinojosa offered to Mexico useful? Why do not the armed forces shoot down corrupt and unbalanced politicians?
Agreeing peace with regional drug trafficking groups as well as other subaltern associations is a necessary and urgent measure; before those in charge of factionalism carry out their tasks. Indeed, history and fiction should serve to diminish so much head in the political act. It has happened a thousand times. Provided that Mexicans, institutional and subordinate, decide to organize themselves; the foreign element appears to generate selfishness and confrontation. Within the narcoculture promoted by the Mass Media, there is a film like "La fiesta de los perrones" (Jesus Fragoso Montoya, 1999) that clearly proves the aggressive interventionism against Mexico. It is obvious that the drug trafficking groups and the government of the country could find a Pareto optimum to harmonize their relationship; However, this is inconvenient for North America and its vassals. Even if the drug traffickers decided to make peace, the United States and its Creole employees would generate the confrontation that would allow them to rationalize the context. The American Union does not want to end the public health problem that has become the drug phenomenon; he wants money and he will do everything possible to get it. North America seeks to control drug trafficking because it continues to be one of the best businesses in the world; No matter that most of his youth is sunk in addictions. Can they intervene militarily in Mexico if things keep getting complicated? Of course, with all the right in between. The arms business is also profitable from its rational choice. They have sold bullets and military supplies to all the sides that want to destroy themselves in our republic. Hence the reason for choosing peace before it is too late. On the Creole serfs who have always betrayed their countries of birth; there is nothing to say.
Something similar happens with Andreas Schedler than with Stephen Hawking. The neglect of the political scientist and the physicist will be terrible to the future. Do not they count, said characters, with sufficient scientific capacity to pay attention? Or measures of coexistence and pacification are established with the armed groups of the drug traffickers, the self-defense groups, the populations inserted in the crime and the insurgent groups that legitimately seek to survive in front of the specter of neoliberalism, or the country will be condensed of independent figures like the General Francisco Villa and Emiliano Zapata that in Mexico and now in the south of the United States will demand with all the force that justice that the colonial structure has denied.
